The first patch for Infinicrypt is here! This patch focuses on polishing a lot of the content that exists currently while also changing up some of the gameplay. Overall, the game should feel more finished in preparation for new content.
The next update will contain at least 1 new enemy and new layouts for all current rooms. I will try to push for an update weekly, and if the update is much larger, possibly every 2 weeks.
---- General Changes ----
- I-Frames no longer disable attacks on all characters
- Knight cannot shield when hit
- Rogue cannot dash when hit
- Lowered the volume of some spells
- Hitboxes adjusted on some spells
- Added Blink spell
- Does not deal damage, instead teleports the wizard
- Cooldowns are now displayed in the bottom left
- Added new track for fountain rooms
---- Visual Changes ----
- Changed visuals on character select buttons to match other in-game buttons
- Darkened some tiles
- All melee abilities have new visuals
- Enemies now show energy shields when protected
- Floor number now displays on floor generation
- Wall tiles should no longer display below attacks and certain spells
- Fountain rooms decorated to be more peaceful
- Player now faces the direction of their attacks
---- Skeleton Room Changes ----
- Bone row/column spread reduced by 32 on either side
- Skeletons can no longer get stuck on projectiles
- Bones can now come from the right and the bottom of the room
- Bones now grow when created
- Bone spin is now telegraphed
- Skeletons & Bones have gib particles
- Skeletons now increase in health less, instead adding more skeletons each floor
- Skeletons deal more damage every 5 floors cleared
---- Zombie Room Changes ----
- Zombie Ground Mouths should be more predictable
- Zombies have 1 less health
- New Attack: Ground Mouths are placed near the player, following them
- New Ability: Buboes will sprout near sleeping zombies. If not destroyed, buboes heal zombies in a radius around them
- Zombies & Buboes have gib particles
- Some rooms now have barriers instead of walls that block player movement, but not projectiles
- Zombies will go over barriers when leaping at the player
- Zombies now increase in health less, instead adding more zombies each floor
- Zombies deal more damage every 5 floors cleared
---- Bug Fixes ----
- Zombie Rooms will no longer have mouths clipping into the floor and walls
- Chests, Soul Gems, Spikes, and Enemies now have dynamic depth
- Text for interactables no longer clips incorrectly into walls
- Fixed a crash when dashing into a marked target
- Warning Signs will no longer clip into walls
- Player death will animate properly now
